About William Evert

William H. Evert is a gifted award winning artist who resides in Northeast Pennsylvania. He is affectionately known to his friends and family as just simply “Bill”. Bill spent his youth in rural New Jersey and Pennsylvania hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. His strong interest in the outdoors is reflected in his finely detailed wildlife, landscapes, and seascapes. He has a true appreciation of the natural world around him. Bill is a traditional realist who specializes in the medium of watercolor. Having a strong interest in art since early childhood, Bill was accepted at a leading university to study art but choose instead to pursue disciplines in accounting and business law. He was a controller of a manufacturing company for 24 years before returning to his passion of art. He is mostly self-taught however he has honed his skills with assistance from participation in workshops and mentoring from nationally recognized artists. Currently he maintains an active schedule at his studio in rural Pennsylvania while also working as a coordinator for adults with developmental disabilities. Bill shares his knowledge and passion for painting through classes and demonstrations. His distinguished work has been exhibited in juried shows, invitational exhibits, and solo shows which have won him numerous awards. His paintings can be found in private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.
